Employment support

In order for international students to be successful when job-hunting, they will start to prepare a year before graduation. Lessons and individual guidance on understanding the different types of jobs and preparation for employment screening and interviews will be provided for all students.

Extensive employment support provided for international students

1.Career guidance

Career guidance for international students will provide students with information on how to proceed with job-hunting, the skills required for different jobs and relevant qualifications. In addition, as employment in Japan for international students is limited by the student's academic background and employment history, guidance will be provided in accordance with each student's situation and desired career path.

2.Preparation for employment

To prepare students for employment, students will be provided guidance (correction) on how to create a resume and fill in application forms, which are the first point of contact with a company. Students will be offered a chance to take part in a 'mock interview' where they will practice the correct way to use honorific terms to promote themselves. In addition, students will also prepare for the general knowledge examinations that companies place a great emphasis on. Also, lecturers from specialized fields will provide individual consulting sessions offering advice on the submission of portfolios to game and design industries.

3.Japan business etiquette

Understanding Japan's unique business practices and having the ability to observe them is a skill sought by Japanese companies. Students will master business etiquette such as the use of honorific expressions, grooming and presentation skills that will help them stand out while job hunting and when they start work in the world of business. In addition, makeup tutorials for job-hunting activities will also be provided for female students of Kokusai College of Foreign Languages and Computer & Multimedia.

4.Searching for new companies

We continuously look for suitable companies that our students may wish to apply for based on the student's career-path selection survey. In addition to searching for job openings, we also liaise with companies to offer industry seminars, on-campus company introductory sessions, company study tours and internships.

(Note) After graduating from ECC College of Beauty & Style, a Japanese working visa cannot be guaranteed for graduates from this field of study.
The aforementioned is only an example and is subject to change.
The features and content of this page does not apply to the Japanese language courses (For example those at ECC Kokusai College of Foreign Languages, Department of Japanese Language, the University Advancement course, etc.).
